Once upon a time… the Safranière
When we first arrived in the region almost 4 years ago, we fell under the spell of this old farmhouse which is more than 150 years old !
In search of a new home, in the hilly landscapes of the region, we arrived by a small path between sunflowers and ears of wheat. Situated on a hillside in the middle of the fields, in a magnificent setting, the Safranière seduced us.
History of Crocus
Bordered by large old oaks, it has survived the passage of time at the whim of various owners.
Because saffron used to be cultivated here, we wanted to keep the name of the estate « La Safranière ».
A little gem
Our project for a gite germinated a long time ago and our arrival in the south-west of France enabled us to make our dream come true.
The old barn and the old dovecote have been transformed thanks to local craftsmen. They were able to adapt to the hazards of the work and enhance the building with their creativity and know-how.
Heart & Soul
Once the major work was completed, we arranged and decorated each room ourselves with all our heart & energy.
Our wish was to keep the charm of the old whilst bringing modernity for better comfort and design.
After many months of heartfelt renovations, the gite was transformed into a cosy little retreat in which we have great pleasure in welcoming you.
The icing on the cake
The reward for our efforts : The Safranière now benefits from a 3-star classification by the Haute-Garonne Departmental Tourism Committee and the 3 “épis” label from Gîtes de France.

I am passionate about cooking and making yummy homemade pastries and desserts.
I test and reinvent delicious recipes. You will have the opportunity to taste my creations, if you let yourself be tempted by a breakfast or a picnic basket during your stay.

On the Pool Side
Once the gîte was completed, we were keen to offer a relaxing area for our holidaymakers.
You can now benefit from a large swimming pool area where you can swim, play, refresh yourselves or relax…
The sanitary facilities and the pool house are currently being completed, so even more comfort to come !
